How to apply for the post, or , Steps of applying.?

2 Can I apply for more than one post ? Candidates can apply for more than one post as per their qualifications. However, they must note that the written test for post codes 03,04 & 05 may be held on one single day, written test for post codes 06 & 07 may be held on one single day and written test for post codes 08, 09 & 10 may be held on one single day.  Written examination of balance posts will be held on different dates.  As such candidates applying for more than one post must keep this combination in mind.
3 Can I apply for more than one post with single payment challan copy.? No. One should apply for more than post with separate application fee in form of Cash Challan. System will not allow you to apply for more than one post with same challan Number.
4 Should I apply online separately for each of the post I wish to apply? Yes, You should apply online separately for each post you wish to apply, and with a separate application fee challan copy.
5 I am a B.Tech degree holder, can I apply for the post code 03.04.05 ? Candidates with B.E./B.Tech are not eligible for post codes 03, 04 & 05.  Candidates with such higher qualification should keep in their mind that their candidature will summarily be cancelled at any time of recruitment or even after appointment in DMRC, if they are found to have suppressed the information of having possessed B.E./B.Tech at the time of filling up the application.
6 My final qualifying exam will be held in year 2012 (appearing case), Can I apply in DMRC ? Candidates who are appearing at the qualifying exam, passing of which would render them educationally qualified for these posts but have not been informed of the results, will also be eligible for admission to these posts.  Such candidates will be admitted to the examination, if otherwise eligible, but their admission would be deemed to be provisional and subject to cancellation, if they do not produce proof of having passed the eligibility qualification by the date of Interview/Psycho Test , which is likely to be held by June’2012.  The proof of passing / result should have been declared for public through newspaper/website etc & should be in public domain.
7 What does "Qualifying Exam" means in Application format ? It means the name of only the qualifying examination which makes you eligible to apply. i.e. Grad. Degree / Diploma / ITI (NCTVT/SCVT) etc.
8 If the print out of the registration slip could not be taken at the time of registration, can it be taken out at a later date?

Yes: The printouts of the registration slip can be taken at a later date. The link for taking printout of the registration slip is available on the website.

Whether the registration number can be viewed again if the same has not been noted down at the time of submission of application.?

Yes: The same can be retrieved from the website from the link mentioned in website by giving email-id and date of Birth.

Can the age of candidate be rounded off to the lower limit?

No. The age cannot be rounded off to the lower limit.

When will the written test be held?

The announcement of written test schedule , Interview / Psycho test will be

 notified only through DMRC website. The Candidates are advised to visit our

 website regularly pertaining to this Advt.

What will be the pattern of the written test?

Refer  “Selection Process ” in the advertisement for detail.

Whether NOC has to be obtained for applying by the applicants from PSUs / Govt. Departments.?  

Candidates from PSUs / Govt. Departments are required to obtain NOC for submitting their applications. NOC will be verified at the time of interview for qualified candidates.

Where will be the examination center ?

Only in Delhi.

Whether OBC certificate in the state government Proforma allowed.? 

No, OBC certificate should be in the format prescribed for employment under government of India and the same is given in the appendix II in the “Eligibility Criteria and Other Details” on the website.

Special care to be taken while submitting hard copy of Registration Slip and Testimonials to DMRC.

  1. Please, Paste your recent passport size colored photograph (3.5 cm X 3.5 cm) at appropriate place.

  2. Put your signature at the allocated place and put your left thumb impression on the relevant place allocated in the Registration slip. The thumb impression must be clear and complete.  Ridges of the thumb impression must be clearly visible. 

  3. Please fill in the declaration given on the registration slip in their own handwriting.  Handwriting should be in free flow and not in capital letters.

  4. Candidates must ensure that the photograph must in colour ,  not more than 03 months old from the date of the publication of this notification and it should be of good quality with fine print.  Applications with mutilated or deformed photographs will summarily be rejected by DMRC.  The other copy of the registration slip should be kept with the candidate for future reference.

Documents to be sent with the duly filled registration slip (as explained in para 14 of Advt.) :

  1. Original copy of the  payment challan meant for DMRC.

  2. Candidates belonging to SC/ST categories must attach an attested copy of their SC/ST certificates with the registration slip.  OBC candidates (central list) are also required to attach the attested copy of their certificate.

What shall lead to summarily rejection of your Application.?

1.If Application is not signed by you.
2.If left hand thumb impression has not been put on application.
3.If declaration is not hand written.
4.If photograph is not pasted at desired place as per specification given.
5.If caste certificate is not attached (SC/ST/OBC).

6. If DMRC copy of Application Fee Challan is not attached.

7. If Payment is not for the requisite amount for your category as required.

8. Payment through any mode other than Challan as required. (No Demand Draft/ Postal Order/ Banker's Cheque etc. is acceptable)

18 I have applied Online and also sent the Physical copy at the given address. But when I am checking the status of Physical copy received , system is showing that it has not been received by DMRC. Since last date for sending hard copy is over. So what should i do now and whether I will be eligible or not ?  It means we have not received your physical copy till now. You should keep in touch with the track status of Physical / hard copy on DMRC website regularly on which a email id will be available from 14th February 2012 to 21st February 2012 for sending the scanned documents and subsequently you have to also re-send the documents by Speed post at the address (which will be notified on the website only in that duration) so as to reach us latest by 28th February 2012. This facility is being made available to the Candidates whose registration slip hard copy has not been received by DMRC.However DMRC is not liable for any loss in postal transit. 

Further No communication shall be entertained in this regard and in case of non receipt of Physical application , your candidature shall be cancelled.

How to apply

  1. Candidates are required to apply online through website www.delhimetrorail.com.  No other means/mode of application will be accepted.

  2. Candidates are required to have a valid personal e-mail ID.  It should be kept active during the currency of this recruitment process.  In case a candidate does not have a valid personal e-mail ID, he/she should create his/her new e-mail ID before applying online.  Under no circumstances, he/she should share/mention e-mail ID to/of any other person.

3. Candidates are first required to go to the DMRC’s website www.delhimetrorail.com and click on the link “Career”.

4. Thereafter, he/she may open the recruitment notification titled “DMRC/OM/HR/I/2012”.

5. Candidates are required to download the CASH CHALLAN (fee payment voucher) for payment of the application fee. The cash voucher is in triplicate.

6. Candidates are required to go to any Branch of State Bank of India and pay the amount of prescribed fees (for fee details see para Payment of application fee” ) per post. State Bank of India (SBI) has been authorized by DMRC to collect the application fee, in a specially opened DMRC Account No. 32091518042.  For payment of fees, the candidate has to approach the nearest SBI branch with a challan in triplicate (1st copy-Candidate’s copy, 2nd DMRC copy & 3rd Bank’s copy)  downloaded from DMRC website www.delhimetrorail.com.  The challan printed from the DMRC website should only be used for depositing the fee for proper crediting amount in the allocated account.  On receipt of the money, the bank will issue a unique Journal Number and a Branch code of the bank collecting the money.  Candidates are required to collect the “Candidate’s Copy” and “DMRC Copy” from the bank.  They are also required to ensure that these cash receipts contain i) Journal number ii) Branch Name iii) Branch code No. iv) Date of deposit v) Amount. 

7. DMRC will not be responsible in case the candidate deposits the fee in a wrong account.  There will not be any other mode of payment of application fee.  If selected for Interview/Psycho Test, candidate will have to show the original copy of the challan meant for the candidate.

8.   Application fee is  to be paid between 30.12.2011 to 24.01.2012 only.

9.   Demand Drafts, Cheques, Money Orders, Postal Orders, Pay Orders, Banker’s Cheques, postal stamps, etc., will not be accepted, towards application fee.

10. Candidates are now ready to apply Online by re-visiting the career link i.e. “DMRC/OM/HR/I/2012” on DMRC’s website www.delhimetrorail.com and by going to sub link titled “Apply Online” and follow the instructions given carefully therein for Online Registration.

11.  The Online registration will remain active from 10.00 hrs of 30.12.2011 to 23.59 hrs of 24.01.2012 only.  In order to avoid last minute rush, the candidates are advised to apply early enough.  DMRC will not be  responsible for network problems or any other problem of this nature in submission of online application during last days.

12.  Please, select the posts applied and fill in the requisite details in the online application format.  All the fields in the online application format should be filled up carefully.   On the Computer, there will be a pre-view of the applications filled by the candidate before submitting the application, so that it can be edited.  After submission of the application, no modification will be permitted.

13.  Once you submit your application, the system will generate a unique Registration No. and generate a Registration Slip, which will have unique Registration number, your basic details like name, category, and post applied for. 

14.  Important:

 i)   Candidates are advised to take 2 (two) print outs of the Registration slip.

ii)   Please, Paste his/her recent passport size colored photograph (3.5 cm X 3.5 cm) at appropriate place.

iii)  Put his/her signature at the allocated place and put his/her left thumb impression on the relevant place allocated in the Registration slip. The thumb impression must be clear and complete.  Ridges of the thumb impression must be clearly visible. 

iv)  Please fill in the declaration given on the registration slip in their own handwriting.  Handwriting should be in free flow and not in capital letters.

v)   Candidates must ensure that the photograph must in colour ,  not more than 03 months old from the date of the publication of this notification and it should be of good quality with fine print.  Applications with mutilated or deformed photographs will summarily be rejected by DMRC.  The other copy of the registration slip should be kept with the candidate for future reference.

15.   Documents to be sent with the duly filled registration slip (as explained in para 14) :

i)  Original copy of the  payment challan meant for DMRC.

ii)  Candidates belonging to SC/ST categories must attach an attested copy of their SC/ST certificates with the registration slip.  OBC candidates (central list) are also required to attach the attested copy of their certificate.

16.  The candidate will now send one copy of  Registration Slip” duly completed as explained above so as to reach the address given hereunder latest by 31.01.2012, positively via Ordinary Post .  Candidates must ensure that their duly filled applications reach the under mentioned address by 31.01.2012.  In case of non receipt of applications, the candidature will not be acceptable.

17. The envelope should be properly sealed and super scribed with

a. Name of the post & post code. and

b. Category – UR/OBC/SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen (as the case may be).

Imp: one envelop should carry only one application only
